Thursday I had to leave the Lake District to journey south. My departure was delayed by a lovely chat I had with my Lake District landlord, Jan. Ultimately I departed around noon, with a roughly four hour journey (plus break) on the Motorways ahead of me.
Of course, I arrived in Oxford exhausted at 7 pm. A single 16 mile roadworks took one hour. Some more congestion on the Motorways took another hour. This led to me entering Oxford in Rush Hour, which cost another half hour.
I was not really in a mood to explore Oxford. Still, I had to get dinner, so I took a stroll along the River Thames.
Sun was already setting and it went dark quite quickly. Therefore I don't have any photos of the ancient buildings of some of the colleges of Oxford University.
